workshops

Ever want to try your hand at forging? Spend the day learning a traditional craft and take home useful and beautiful pieces you will treasure!?

The workshops provide a hands-on opportunity to learn traditional metalworking techniques, the basics of shaping, bending, and forging metal using heat and tools.

There are two unique workshops offered at the Beach & Forest studio - An Intro to Blacksmithing and The Copper Kitchen Workshop - both of which are taught as private lessons with a maximum of two participants. They have been designed to encourage creativity as well as craftsmanship and the day is spent forging creations that you have chosen and designed yourself. Expect to leave with dirty hands and some very unique and personalised items.

There is more info about each course in the online shop, where you can choose to purchase either a one person or two person workshop. Once purchased, we will be in touch to find what dates suit - workshops are  available 7 days a week.

Located at the Beach & Forest studio in Curdievale, Victoria. On-site accomodation in the beautiful Villa Mala is also available at a discounted rate, please get in touch for more info - 0413 348 533

TESTIMONIALS

“This was an amazing course. In just one day, we learnt so much that was new, used a wide variety of machines AND both came away with 3 very professional and lovely items. Maria is a wonderfully knowledgable, clear and encouraging teacher.”

“The introduction to blacksmithing course with Maria was fantastic! I did the course with my dad and she was so patient in teaching us both the different techniques. The forge is set in a beautiful location and you come away with a great insight into the trade of blacksmithing. Highly recommend!”
